I hate this program !
Though i imagine it is considered local content so that must help the network?
Also good exposure for the sponsor in there target markets…..

Big Brother down and out for 2007
Camille Alarcon
Big Brother’s Final Night episode ended with a quiet thud last night with 1.58 million viewers tuning into the program – a noticeable 9% fall on last year.
However, around 1.9 million tuned into the Winner Announced portion of the show, which was up on last year’s 1.88 million.
Throughout the seventh series, the Network Ten program experienced dramatic audience rises and falls of up to 30% respectively (all people) in some episodes, according to a Fusion Strategy analysis of ratings.
However, Ten’s chief programming officer David Mott maintained the program is “resilient and successful big event television that appeals to the young and young at heart”.
Big Brother sponsor, 3 mobile’s head of content Annie Mackin said the show is about high viewer engagement. “3 has been an integral part of the Big Brother series, and this has delivered one of the most comprehensive offerings to our customers,” she said.
Despite the falls, among the three commercial FTA channels, the Big Brother Final Night episode performed well against the competition, attracting a 51.6% share among 18-49 year old viewers, compared to Seven’s 21.9% and Nine’s 19.3%.
